Position Description:

The Houseman helps room attendants stay productive by moving linen, removing trash, stocking supplies, delivering guest requests, and assisting with cleaning and special projects throughout the hotel.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strip rooms, remove dirty linen and trash, and support room attendants as needed.
  • Restock housekeeping carts, linen closets, storage areas, and supplies.
  • Deliver guest-request items such as towels, pillows, blankets, amenities, and other supplies.
  • Move linen, carts, trash, furniture, rollaway beds, and housekeeping equipment safely.
  • Assist with public-area cleaning, deep cleaning, and special housekeeping projects.
  • Report maintenance issues, safety concerns, damaged items, or unusual conditions to a supervisor.
  • Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and properly.
  • Communicate professionally with guests and team members.
