Job description

Job Title: General Cashier
Job Pay Rate: $19.00 per hour.
Job Summary:

As a general cashier you will be responsible for maintaining the Hotel's reserve bank, being responsible for daily cash reconciliation and deposits making change for front office, departmental cashiers and employees for the Broadmoor Hotel and Seven Falls.

What you will be doing:
  • Picks up and counts turn-in envelopes daily.
  • Prepares cash report and deposits daily.
  • Pulls money for due backs and cashiers daily.
  • Prepares and balances cash sheets and deposits for the Golf club as needed.
  • Disburses and submits reimbursement for petty cash (daily or monthly).
  • Prepares exchanges with FNB (old money for new) as needed.
  • Prepares over or short report on cashiers for controller monthly.
  • Sorts and files months cash sheets and related back-up as needed.
  • Verifies all banks turned back in from any hotel location as needed.
  • Collects deposit from Seven Fall's cash recycler 2-3 times per week when open.
  • Conducts cash recycler audits.
  • Prepares cash orders for change for Seven Falls.
  • Distributes change accordingly for Seven Falls.
  • Maintains cash recycler data.
  • Conducts cash recycler bank training.

What we are looking for:
  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university with a concentration or emphasis on Accounting/Finance; or three to six months related cashier or bank teller experience and/or training demonstrating competency in related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite with an emphasis on Excel, computerized accounting systems (JDE/Oracle is helpful) and electronic point of sale systems.
  • The ability to:
      • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
      • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situation to customers, clients, and another employee.
      • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, are, circumference, and volume.
      • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
      • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
      • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
