Position Summary: Responsible for the management of all DFI Resources, LLC and related entity accounting, finance, and payroll related issues. This includes ensuring adequate cash flow, maintaining accounting systems/budgets, handling payroll, preparing financial reports, and ensuring financial accountability for DFI and the entities it manages.

Position Responsibilities
  • Must partner with the Director of Finance to meet objectives
  • Leads development, implementation, and administration of the organizations accounting and financial systems.
  • Continuously evaluate, design, and operate an accounting system to capture, record, process, and store all relevant documents and information.
  • Oversees monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close processes and coordinates the preparation of financial statements within multiple entities and complex ownership structures.
  • Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.
  • Furnishes internal / external accounting and financial reports. Monitor and analyze operating results.
  • Ensures budgets, reporting processes, payroll systems, accounting systems, and financial controls are continuously improved and provide meaningful information to management.
  • Manages all project based financial reporting and effectively manage and improve internal controls.
  • Develops internal controls and oversees audits of policies and procedures meant to preserve the organization's assets.
  • Partners with operational leaders to evaluate financial performance, identify risks, and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Coordinates with external auditors, tax professionals, banking partners, insurance providers, and legal counsel to ensure compliance and reporting requirements are met.
  • Supports strategic initiatives, scenario planning, capital allocation decisions, and special financial projects as assigned.
  • Serve as the primary ERP and financial systems administrator, leading system enhancements, integrations, reporting improvements, automation initiatives, and process efficiencies.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce manual effort and improve close efficiency through automation and systems improvements.
Essential skills and experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting and must have 5-7 years’ experience in a specialized finance or accounting function.
  • Ideally at least 5 years of hands-on accounting experience within a family office or private investment firm or tax/accounting organization
  • Deep understanding of real estate and operational accounting.
  • Ability to drive strategic directions and influence others.
  • Experience with partnership and trust tax accounting.
  • Proficiency in modern ERP system preferably in an Oracle based accounting system.
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication skills; positive attitude.
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting systems, accounting principles and practices within a multi-entity operating structure.
  • Advanced knowledge of HR and legal practices.
  • Demonstrated managerial and organizational skills
  • Advanced computer skills including MS Office, Excel, Word, and Adobe.
  • Excellent knowledge of general office procedures; as well as intermediate knowledge of smart phones.
  • Excellent time management skills; ability to organize and coordinate multiple projects with available resources.
  • Keen attention to detail, honesty, adaptability, dependability, and willingness to do hands‑on work.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of strict confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
