Job Description 


We are currently looking for a Pressure Truck/Hot Oiler Operator to join our Lloydminster, AB  Vertex Team. We offer 5/2 rotational schedules with rotational on call work, every other weekend or project based schedules.

Duties and Responsibilities


  • Participate in safety program's by ensuring all company and customer policies & procedures are adhered to
  • Attendance and participation in toolbox talks and safety meetings, FLRA’s, hazard assessment development and pre-trips/post-trips
  • Willing to work as a team player with coworkers, contractors and customers
  • Able to demonstrate competent operation of equipment
  • Drive equipment in a safe and professional manner obeying all traffic rules at all times
  • Ensure all training requirements are up to date and current
  • Workload and schedules may vary depending on emergency situations and routine work 


Candidate Qualifications 


  • Drug & Alcohol Testing (Provided by Vertex)
  • Class 1 Driver's License with a clean commercial abstract
  • 2+ years with Hot Oiler Operator experience 
  • 2+ years with 5K & 10K Pressure Truck Operator experience 
  • Minimum of 2 years of oilfield experience 
  • ELD logbook experience 
  • Experience operating vacuum trucks and fluid hauling considered an asset
  • The requirement to work shift rotation, days, evenings and weekends when required
  • Possess safety tickets including but not limited to H2S Alive, CSTS 2020, First Aid, Fall Protection, CSO and Confined Space Entry & Monitor
  • Cenovus site orientations 
  • PPE (provided by Vertex)
  • Steel Toe Rubber Boots requirement 
  • Ability to lift heavy tools and parts
  • Must be able to work at heights of more than 6 feet
