Job description

The HOST position is one of the most important in the business- you are the face of Joes, the first person the guest sees when they walk in and the last impression upon leaving. As a host at Joes Original, you will be a part of an amazing front of house restaurant team who work together to create an exceptional guest experience from start to finish.


The host is responsible for welcoming our guests into "our home", by opening doors, smiling and making eye contact, greeting guests by name, answering phones and seating guests at their own pace.

Communication between the host, service team and management regarding special celebrations and requests, making accommodations and anticipating needs of the restaurant and guest are just a few of the areas where you will make an impact.

Experience with Opentable is a plus, but no prior experience is necessary. Learning how to manage a wait list, maintaining composure and professionalism while multitasking and learning how to prioritize tasks are all important pieces of the host job.
