Overview

Opportunity: Project Manager (Hospitality Renovation)

HHM Hotels is a leading hotel management and investment company with a growing domestic portfolio. Our development and capital planning teams manage renovations from strategy through execution, guiding each project from a concept to a fully realized asset. You will oversee a slate of East Coast renovations and repositionings from concept through closeout, ensuring they’re delivered on time, on budget, and aligned with brand and operational goals.

This is a Philadelphia-based, high-visibility role that demands technical strength, leadership on active job sites, and the ability to align multiple stakeholders. You’ll represent the project’s interests throughout the entire lifecycle, ensuring clarity, alignment, and accountability from start to finish.

Senior Project Manager – Director of Development

Your Focus

Project Leadership & Execution

  • Lead hotel renovation and capital improvement projects from planning through turnover, ensuring alignment with brand standards, operational needs, and ownership goals.
  • Direct daily project oversight including site meetings, punchlisting, coordination with contractors, and schedule monitoring.
  • Review, analyze, and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and design intent to ensure feasibility and cost alignment, consistent with HHM’s development methodology.

Design & Procurement Coordination

  • Serve as the primary liaison between interior designers, architects, procurement agents, and ownership throughout the design and FF&E process.
  • Coordinate purchasing agent orders, shop drawings, material approvals, and logistics to ensure alignment with construction schedules.
  • Maintain current knowledge of brand standards across HHM's core franchise partners.

Budgeting, Estimating & Financial Management

  • Develop, manage, and reconcile project budgets in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
  • Review contractor and consultant invoices, payment applications, and change orders for accuracy and compliance with contract documents.
    Track spend-to-date, cash flow needs, and overall project financial health with precision.

Scheduling & Stakeholder Communication

  • Build and maintain project schedules, identifying risks early and driving solutions to keep timelines intact.
  • Provide consistent updates to senior leadership, operations, asset management, and ownership groups.
  • Lead coordination with local officials, inspectors, and permitting authorities as required.

Field Presence & Quality Control

  • Conduct regular site visits across the East Coast portfolio to oversee progress, ensure quality, and confirm adherence to drawings, specifications, and safety standards.
  • Uphold HHM’s sustainability practices throughout project execution where applicable.

Your Background & Skills

  • 2+ years of experience managing construction projects, preffered experience in hotel renovations.
  • Proven track record managing full project lifecycles including design coordination, procurement oversight, scheduling, and GC management.
  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing, materials, estimating principles, and budgeting.
  • Experience working with developers, architecture/design firms, procurement teams, and construction companies.
  • Ability to communicate with clarity and confidence, both in writing and verbally.
  • Profiency with Excel, Procore, Adobe, Bluebeam.

Work Environment and Context
