Job Title:Physiatry

Location:York, PA

Employment Type:Part-time Weekends Only

What You'll Champion:

  • Advanced Practice Provider (APP - NP/PA) position supporting WellSpan Physiatry patients at WellSpan Surgery and Rehabilitation Hospital with consultative coverage at WellSpan York Hospital
  • Saturdays and Sundays, working 1 p.m. - 11 p.m.
  • Seeking candidates with prior Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) / Physiatry experience
  • Hospitalist or inpatient care experience strongly preferred
  • Must demonstrate a solid understanding of inpatient workflows, interdisciplinary care coordination, and transition planning
  • Coordinate inpatient rehabilitation care under the supervision of attending physiatrists, including admission and discharge medication reconciliation, ordering diagnostics, consults, and facilitating therapeutic services
  • Perform rehabilitation consult evaluations for hospitalized patients and provide recommendations on level of care, IRF placement, and physiatryspecific management
  • Collaborate daily with attending physicians and interdisciplinary teams to review vitals, labs, care plans, provide handoff/signout, and maintain ongoing provider communication
  • Nonadmitting role with structured onboarding; APPs work in direct daily communication with attendings, with access to hospitalist support and consult attending oversight
