• Active Unrestricted Mississippi Medical License
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, AOBIM, or AOMFM
• Active DEA with Mississippi Address and Schedules 2, 2N, 3, 3N, 4, and 5
• ACLS Required
• Completion of a 3-Year Residency in EM, FM, or IM; Must Demonstrate Clinical Activity with at Least 30 Patient Encounters in the Previous 12 Months or Completion of Residency/Fellowship Activities Within the Previous 24 Months
• Case Logs for Previous 2 Years Required; Documentation of 40 CME Hours Within Previous 2 Years Required; Must Serve as Supervising or Backup Physician for NP and PA Providers; Telehealth Experience Not Required; Actual State License, Board Certification, DEA, and CSR (if applicable) Required at Presentation
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide inpatient hospitalist coverage on a 7-on/7-off schedule
• Perform admissions, evaluations, and daily patient management
• Participate in round robin admissions process
• Respond to codes and rapid response events
• Supervise and collaborate with NP and PA providers
• Document patient care activities within Epic EMR
