Schedule: 3x12 Hour Shifts Weekly - 4 Days Off + OT Opportunities!

About the Opportunity:

As a Security Officer at Vail Health, you'll help protect our property, people, and assets by enforcing a hospital-wide safety and security program based on Joint Commission standards, industry best practices, and our commitment to exceptional care. You'll be part of a team that plays a critical, front-line role in creating a secure and welcoming environment for everyone who walks through our doors.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Patrol VH facilities and grounds to identify safety hazards and suspicious activity
  • Respond swiftly to alarms, emergency codes, and calls for assistance
  • Document incidents and investigations accurately and professionally
  • Communicate effectively with patients, visitors, staff, and external agencies
  • Monitor and enforce parking policies and secure hospital access points
  • Support patients in crisis, including one-on-one watches and behavior management in collaboration with clinical teams
  • Maintain access control systems, key management, and alarm systems
  • Help maintain a calm, safe environment by assisting with de-escalation and conflict resolution

What You Bring to the Team:

  • Experience: 2+ years of prior security experience preferred; healthcare security is a big plus
  • License: Valid driver's license and a clean DMV record per VH standards
  • Tech Skills: Able to quickly learn and use computer systems, complete online training, and stay current with documentation
  • Language: Strong English reading, writing, and speaking skills
  • Professionalism: Candidates must demonstrate a professional appearance and demeanor, with the ability to effectively comprehend, retain, and process both verbal and written communication.
