Job description

Northbrook Behavioral Health Hospital, a leading healthcare organization, is seeking a Security Officer with prior hospital experience to join our team. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of patients, employees, and visitors while providing exceptional customer service. If you are a motivated and detail-oriented individual with a passion for healthcare, we encourage you to apply.

The current openings are for the following timeslots:

·         Weekends and Holidays

·         12am to 8am

·         8am to 4pm

·         4pm to 12am

Responsibilities:

  • Patrol hospital premises to deter and detect unauthorized activity

  • Monitor and respond to emergency situations, including alarms and distress calls

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff

  • Develop and maintain a working knowledge of hospital policies and procedures

  • Communicate effectively with hospital staff, management, and law enforcement

  • Maintain accurate records and reports of incidents and security-related activities

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Ability to pass a thorough background check and obtain required certifications

  • 2+ years of security or law enforcement experience required.

  • Experience working in a hospital environment is strongly preferred.

  • Ability to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
