What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, critical situations, and medical-related emergencies in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of facilities, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and escorts as needed, and report unusual conditions or incidents to site leadership.
  • Document observations, incidents, and completed patrols accurately in accordance with site-specific reporting procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be able to meet hospital vaccination requirements.
  • Be able to work in a hospital environment that includes a morgue.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
