Job description

Responsible for maintaining and providing security for patients, vistors, personnel and property as outlined in the Hospital security management plan. Inspire convidence from patients, visitors, and employees by performing and communicating in a professional and courteous manner. Security Officers will assist all personnel with 1013 and Combative patients adhering to the restraint policy in the ED and throughout the facility. Security assists with escorts of patients throughout URMC including Wound Healing Center. This position reports to the Environmental Services Director. 

Required: 

High School Diploma or Equivalent, regular Driver's Lincense, Crisis Intervention Training required within 6 month period following date of hire, BLS within 1 month period following date of hire. 

Desired: 

Post certified and/or self-defense training.
