Job description

Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Answers phone lines
  • Makes appointments/RS appointments
  • Sends lab orders to lab if they call and request lab requisition
  • Sends last visit note to referring offices if medical records release on file
  • Sends triage call to triage line
  • Takes hospital consults/sends page to appropriate physician
  • Takes urgent messages and distributes to proper physician
  • Scans insurance paperwork into ONCO EMR
  • Scans RX paperwork into ONCO EMR
  • Scans expired patient's information into ONCO EMR/G4
  • Assists in providing medial records when needed
  • Other tasks assigned by management
  • Other site-specific tasks

Requirements

Qualification/Requirement:

  • Ability to apply a common sense understanding to carry out detailed and involved written and/or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving occasional, last-minute changes in generally standardized situations.

Education/Training/Experience:

  • High school diploma or a GED
  • Six months related experience and / or training
