Job description

The Hospital Operations Supervisor is a Registered Nurse who assumes operational accountability for a specified shift. On a 24/7 basis, this individual shall have primary responsibility for human resource management and operational management in the absence of the unit manager, as well as acting on behalf of the Hospital President in the absence of the Executive Staff and Department Directors and Managers. While on duty, the Hospital Operations Supervisor holds the ultimate responsibility for administrative and operational decision making. This is accomplished by demonstrating knowledge of appropriate resource utilization and the established chain of command.

Responsibilities
  • Assume operational accountability for a specified shift.
  • Primary responsibility for human resource and operational management in the absence of the unit manager.
  • Act on behalf of the Hospital President in the absence of the Executive Staff and Department Directors and Managers.
  • Make administrative and operational decisions on duty, applying knowledge of resource utilization and chain of command.
Qualifications
  • Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of New Jersey.
  • Bachelorโ€™s Degree in Nursing or related field required.
  • Masterโ€™s Degree in Nursing or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of three (3) years as a Registered Nurse in an acute care setting required.
  • Previous managerial/progressive supervisory experience preferred.
  • Acceptable references from previous employer(s).
  • Knowledge of resource utilization and established chain of command.
Schedule

Night shift from 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM, every other weekend.
