Description:
Manages individualized, goal-directed nursing care through the use of the nursing process and the principles of primary nursing.
Care is provided in accordance with departmental policies, procedures, and standards of nursing practice.
Equipment utilized includes Meditech, OBIX, Pyxis Supply Stations, and bedside fetal monitors.
The nurse-to-patient ratio is based on national standards, taking into account the type of labor and patient needs.
The unit consists of 4 LDRP rooms and 5 Nursery/Postpartum beds.
Dress code for this position is scrubs, which are provided.
Unit-specific training will involve training for Meditech and OBIX.
Completion of medication testing is required once on-site, to be completed within the first two weeks of employment.
Floating to other units or departments is not expected for this role.
Cancellation policy allows for calling off up to 24 hours in advance during the 13-week assignment with no penalty.
