MTM Staffing, brought to you by Southcoast Physician’s Group, is now hiring EXPERIENCED RNs as Internal Travelers for the EMERGENCY Dept!

Area Assignment: St. Luke's Hospital - New Bedford, MA*. NIGHT shift.

Looking for:

  • Minimum of one (1) year of RN Emergency Department experience required. 
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing or equivalent is required.
  • Current RN Licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts is required.
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS required.

Details:

  • 11-13 Week Assignment, with option to extend, if available
  • $70/hr
  • Hours: 24 or 36hrs
  • Shifts: NIGHTS, 7:00pm-7:00am
  • Must work every other weekend and holiday, 1 weekend shift every week and every other holiday OR Every Weekend  

*During assignment, may be asked to float to any Southcoast Hospital:  Charlton Memorial—Fall River, St. Luke’s—New Bedford and Tobey--Wareham

Under direction of the Manager, Patient Services, or designee of individual assigned unit, perform a variety of duties involving coordinating total nursing care for patients, participating in patient and family teaching, and providing leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient team personnel in maintaining standards for professional nursing practice within an assigned patient care unit. Has knowledge and skills necessary to provide care, which is appropriate to the age group of patients regularly served.


  • Current Southcoast Health System employees are not eligible for consideration. Former employees must be separated from Southcoast for at least 9 months to be eligible. 
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing or equivalent is required.
  • Current RN Licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts is required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required. 
  • ACLS is required
  • PALS is required.
  • Minimum of one year of Emergency Department nursing experience required.
  • Competent in reading and interpreting basic telemetry strips. 
  • Ability to efficiently float to other like-units for patient assignments is required. 
  • Working knowledge and experience with PC-based applications.
  • Epic experience is preferred.
  • Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired.
