Job Summary:

The Plumber (Temporary) is responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems and fixtures on assigned construction projects. This role supports project timelines by ensuring plumbing work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable codes and project specifications. This is a project-based position expected to last approximately 3–6 months, depending on project needs and progress. The primary work site for this temporary position will be at Douglas, Wyoming.


Duties/ Responsibilities:

  • Install, assemble, and maintain piping systems, fixtures, and equipment for water, gas, drainage, and sewage systems

  • Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and project plans to determine layout and installation requirements

  • Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipe using hand and power tools

  • Inspect plumbing systems and identify issues or code violations; perform necessary repairs or replacements

  • Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, and other trades to coordinate work and maintain project schedules

  • Ensure all work complies with local, state, and federal plumbing codes and safety regulations

  • Test plumbing systems for leaks and proper functionality

  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment in accordance with company safety standards

  • Operate equipment and tools safely and efficiently

  • Document work completed and report progress or issues to leadership

  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety requirements

  • Other duties as assigned


Education/Certifications/Licenses

  • High School Diploma or GED required

  • Valid Wyoming Apprentice/Journeyman Plumber License preferred (or equivalent experience – confirm)

  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred or ability to obtain

  • Valid Driver’s License required


Experience

  • 1 to 3 years of experience in commercial or residential plumbing

  • Experience working on construction job sites preferred

  • Familiarity with plumbing systems, materials, and installation methods

  • Experience reading blueprints and technical drawings


Required Skills/Abilities

  • Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, tools, and safety practices

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents

  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Good communication and coordination skills

  • Time management skills with ability to meet project deadlines

  • Physical stamina and ability to work in demanding environments


Physical Demands/Working Environment

  • Physical Demands:

    • Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and lifting

    • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly; occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance

    • Use of hands and tools for extended periods

    • Ability to climb ladders and work in confined spaces

  • Working Environment:

    • Primarily outdoor construction site environment

    • Exposure to varying weather conditions, including heat and cold

    • Exposure to dust, fumes, noise, and confined spaces

    • Requires use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
