• Conduct thorough and comprehensive patient examinations to ascertain health conditions, drawing from medical history and physical assessments.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests including blood work, imaging, and other lab tests, ensuring timely decisions regarding patient care.
• Diagnose and treat a variety of acute illnesses and injuries, including respiratory infections, skin issues, and minor fractures, using evidence-based protocols.
• Create and implement treatment plans tailored for patients with chronic diseases, ensuring ongoing management and education.
• Prescribe medications as needed, with continuous monitoring and adjustment based on patient feedback and clinical efficacy.
• Maintain organized patient records and schedules, adhering to legal and ethical standards for documentation.
• Educate patients and their families about health conditions, preventive measures, and wellness strategies during clinical encounters.
• Encourage and promote good health practices within the community, embodying a model of health literacy and proactive care.
• Engage in ongoing professional development, including participation in research and education initiatives to stay updated on the latest healthcare practices.

At Horizon Urgent Treatment Center, you will work with a diverse patient population ranging from children to seniors, experiencing various acute and immediate health needs. The patient-focused environment means you will address unique health issues while providing empathetic care and support throughout each individual’s treatment journey.

• Must hold a valid State Physician Assistant license (PA-C) and possess a DEA number.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Physician Assistant studies; a Master’s degree is preferred.
• Proven track record of working as a Physician Assistant in a clinical, hospital, or urgent care setting.
• Solid understanding of primary care and acute care practices, with the ability to make informed decisions quickly.
• Knowledge of healthcare regulations and patient care protocols to ensure compliance and safety.
• Exceptional communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.

• Experience in a high-volume urgent care or emergency room setting is highly desirable.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment with a shared commitment to patient healthcare.
• Demonstrated ability to remain calm and focused while managing high-pressure situations.
• Willingness to achieve ongoing learning and skill enhancement in clinical practices.
• Bilingual proficiency is a plus, enhancing our ability to serve a broader community.

The annual salary range for this role is between USD 140,000 and 180,000, commensurate with experience. Horizon Urgent Treatment Center offers a full benefits package including:
