These trailers have a sloped floor and release material through the bottom, making them ideal for transporting bulk commodities like grain, fertilizer, and aggregate. As a Hopper Bottom Owner Operator, your daily responsibilities include loading and unloading bulk commodities such as grain, fertilizer, or feed at farms, mills, and distribution centers. Regular communication with dispatchers, shippers, and receivers is important for coordinating pickups and drop-offs. Additionally, you are responsible for handling minor truck maintenance and administrative tasks related to your business operations. Staying organized and proactive helps ensure smooth deliveries and repeat business.
