JANITOR / BUILDING MAINTENANCE  / SHIPPING

Pay: $17.00

Shifts: 1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM

Location: Addison, IL

Type: Temp to Hire

Requirements: Resume / Interview / Authorization to work in the U.S./ BG Check/ DT-9 Panel / Valid Drivers License


Our client is a leader in precision grinding, lapping and honing and has been for almost 50 years thanks in large part to the great people on the client’s team. They are looking to add an entry level General Labor candidate that wants an opportunity. 


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain building facilities including but not limited to washrooms, walkways, parking lots, and steps.
  • Clean machines and tanks using various tools (e.g., shovels and industrial vacuum).
  • Gather and empty trash into the dumpster.
  • Assist with building security, locking and unlocking doors as required.
  • Distribution of shop supplies and packing customer parts
  • Receiving: Responsible for accurately receiving material. Unload vehicles and containers and store material in proper locations and perform receiving transactions. Review material received. Document any damage or concerns and notify the supervisor immediately. Move product to and from various staging areas in production in a timely manner.
  • Shipping: Set up orders and load vehicles and containers accurately with products to meet delivery dates and perform shipping transactions. Pick and pack product in an accurate and efficient manner for less than truckload shipments. Package product for shipping (includes packing, wrapping, and labeling) as required to satisfy customer needs.
  • Communicate effectively with other employees as part of the Team.
  • Operate within standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Other duties as assigned.


Job Requirements

  • Ability to safely operate various warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.
  • Demonstrates strong organizational skills and pays close attention to detail.
  • Ability to lift heavy items up to 50 pounds.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and a safe driving record.
  • Must be honest and punctual. Arrive ready to work on time.
  • Basic math skills; addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
  • Understand and carry out oral and written instructions.
