Job description

To assist elderly clients with light housekeeping and shopping so that they can remain in their home environments.

  • Provide clients with light housekeeping tasks, such as dusting, vacuuming, mopping floors, cleaning the bathroom and kitchen (including appliances), and laundry services.
  • Run errands for clients such as picking up prescriptions.
  • Do grocery shopping for clients.
  •  Perform other related duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION: H.S. Diploma or equivalent.

EXPERIENCE: Previous experience working with the elderly is a plus, must have reliable transportation.

SPECIAL SKILLS: Ability to work independently, Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs.,

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs., be able to drive including getting into and out of vehicle frequently and sitting for brief periods of time, ability to climb stairs, bend and lift and reach.

PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS: Ability to function within guidelines of the Agency's core values and identification with the Agency mission.
