Job description

RESPONSIBILITIES:

LIGHT HOUSEKEEPING

This task includes dusting, vacuuming, tidying rooms, spot clean walls and carpets, cleaning refrigerator interior and exterior, wiping stove tops, stove hoods, backsplashes, kitchen tables and counter tops, washing dishes, emptying trash, sweeping/vacuuming and damp mopping kitchen and bathroom floors, cleaning bathroom fixtures. Make the bed by removing bed linens and making the bed with fresh linen.

BATHROOM CLEANING

Sweeping and damp mopping bathroom floor, cleaning medicine cabinet mirrors, cleaning bathroom fixtures for the sink, toilet, bathtub, and shower. This may also include cleaning the toilet, including wiping down toilet seat and toilet base and cleaning the tub, shower walls and floors.

KITCHEN CLEANING

Cleaning refrigerator exteriors, wiping the stove, oven, hood and backsplash, cleaning the kitchen table and countertops, washing, drying and putting away dishes, stacking and emptying the dishwasher, cleaning the sink, cleaning kitchen cabinets, vacuuming or sweeping the kitchen floor and damp mopping the floor and taking out the trash.

GROCERY SHOPPING

Trips to and from the closest grocery store and/or food bank for client groceries. Includes obtaining a shopping list and money/food card from the client for grocery purchases, going to the store or food bank returning to the client's home and putting the groceries away in the refrigerator or cupboards, and providing the client with a receipt and any remaining change.

LAUNDRY

Collecting and sorting dirty laundry from client's home and washing, drying, folding, returning clean laundry to client's home, putting the clean laundry in drawers or arranging them on hangers and hanging them in the closet.

MEAL PREPARATION

Preparing food that can be completed in a short time frame such as sandwiches, soup, heating frozen dinners, scrambled eggs, toast, and salads.

Candidates’ seekers should be personable, organized, and enjoy working and assisting the elderly with a solid work ethic, with the initiative for quality and customer service

Candidates that drive or may be a Personal Care Aide or a Home Health Aide are preferable!

EDUCATION:

Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent

HOURS:

Applicants must be able to work during the day, Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 am to 5:00 pm - No Weekends

We have two programs that can guarantee 40 or 30 hours per week.

Please Note: In order to be successful candidates must be reliable and be able to keep a schedule

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be able to provide 2 employment references

Must have a current TB Test

Must have reliable transportation
