Job description

Job Title: Quality Inspector

Role Summary

We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Quality Inspector to join our production team. In this role, you will be the final line of defense in ensuring our products meet the highest standards of safety, functionality, and craftsmanship. You will be responsible for inspecting raw materials, monitoring in-process production, and conducting final evaluations of finished goods to ensure 100% compliance with our quality management system.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspection & Testing: Perform rigorous visual and tactile inspections of components and finished products against blueprints and technical specifications.
  • Precision Measurement: Utilize manual and automated tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and CMM) to verify tolerances.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all inspections, including Detailed Inspection Reports (DIR) and Non-Conformance Reports (NCR).
  • Process Improvement: Partner with the Engineering and Production teams to identify root causes of defects and implement corrective actions.
  • Compliance: Ensure all activities align with [ISO 9001, AS9100 regulations.
  • Equipment Care: Perform routine calibration and basic maintenance on inspection lab equipment.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in a quality control or manufacturing environment.
  • Technical Literacy: Ability to interpret complex blueprints, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), and technical manuals.
  • Analytical Mindset: Strong mathematical skills and the ability to analyze data trends.
  • Communication: Written and verbal skills for reporting defects and collaborating with floor supervisors.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Shift Details & Compensation

We are currently hiring for both First and Second shifts. Please specify your preference.

  • First Shift Start: 6:00 AM
  • Second Shift Start: 4:30 PM
    • Second Shift includes a shift premium.
