Job description

Entry-level CDL-A driving opportunity with bi-weekly home time. The position pairs new drivers with a mentor and places drivers on a dedicated refrigerated (reefer) route handling 100% no-touch freight across the western five states.

  • Compensation and pay
    • Mentorship period: 4–6 weeks on the road with a mentor; mentor pay $650 per week during this period.
    • Post-mentorship pay: $0.60 per mile.
    • Typical weekly mileage: 2,800–3,000 miles.
    • Paid bi-weekly home time schedule.
  • Equipment and route
    • Dedicated reefer position.
    • 100% no-touch freight.
    • Late-model Freightliner Cascadia, fully equipped.
    • Regional coverage within the western five states.
  • Benefits
    • Full benefits become effective after 30 days, including life, dental, vision, health insurance, and 401(k).
  • Primary responsibilities
    • Operate Class A commercial motor vehicles safely and in compliance with DOT regulations and company policy.
    • Transport refrigerated freight on assigned routes; handle 100% no-touch freight.
    • Adhere to assigned schedules and customer delivery instructions.
    • Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and promptly report defects or maintenance needs.
    • Maintain accurate driving logs, inspection records, and required documentation.
    • Communicate professionally and promptly with dispatch and customers.
  • Minimum qualifications and requirements
    • Valid CDL-A license.
    • One of the following:
      • Completion of 120 hours of truck driving school; or
      • At least 6 months of OTR driving experience within the last 12 months; or
      • At least 12 months of OTR driving experience with no more than two carriers in the last 36 months.
    • Ability to meet DOT medical and regulatory requirements and to pass required drug and background screening.
    • Proficiency in English sufficient for safe operation and clear communication.
