Their work commonly focuses on supporting families, children, or vulnerable adults to improve their well-being and address specific social or behavioral challenges. Home based unlicensed social workers often encounter challenges such as managing boundaries while working in clients’ homes, handling complex emotional situations without licensure-level authority, and coordinating care with licensed professionals. To address these, it's important to set clear professional boundaries, seek regular supervision or mentorship from licensed colleagues, and maintain thorough documentation. Building strong communication skills and staying updated with community resources can also help navigate these challenges effectively.
