Job description

Are you a home health, hospice, or community-based RN looking for meaningful work with real scheduling flexibility? Homewatch CareGivers of Portland is hiring an RN to provide clinical oversight, medication delegation, and caregiver training for seniors, individuals with disabilities, and veterans receiving care in their homes.

This is not a hospital floor position or an on-call role. You'll work a defined caseload with predictable scheduling — and the flexibility to make it work alongside your current commitments.

What You'll Do

  • Assess client needs and determine delegation requirements

  • Delegate nursing tasks in accordance with Oregon OSBN Division 47 standards

  • Train and monitor caregivers performing delegated tasks

  • Complete periodic reassessments and supervision visits

  • Maintain delegation and clinical documentation

  • Collaborate with agency leadership on client care needs

  • Support quality outcomes and regulatory compliance

What We're Looking For

  • Active Oregon RN license in good standing

  • Background in home health, hospice, case management, long-term care, or community-based care

  • Strong clinical judgment and communication skills

  • Ability to manage a defined caseload independently

  • Reliable transportation for client visits in the Portland metro area

Delegation Experience Not Required

Oregon's Division 47 rules were simplified in 2024. If you have home health or hospice experience but have not previously performed delegation, we will support you through OSBN's training pathway — on paid time.

Compensation & Benefits

  • $38–$46 per hour, depending on experience

  • Paid delegation training if needed

  • Mileage reimbursement at IRS rate ($0.725/mile)

  • Flexible, defined scheduling — no nights, no mandatory on-call

  • Opportunity to grow with an expanding home care organization
