Role description:

Our expanding team in the GTA is looking for an intermediate engineer with experience in project management, consulting, asset management, hydraulic modelling and infrastructure planning. 

This position requires a candidate with 6 years of experience in water and wastewater system assessment, water and wastewater hydraulic modelling, GIS analysis, water quality modelling, data mining and analytics, asset management planning and programming. You will work within a strong team environment to deliver solutions to our clients. 

Arcadis serves a variety of municipal and private sector clients in many market sectors. We combine technical expertise, a passion to serve and a willingness to be adaptable in every project to serve our clients. You will bring your expertise to a variety of project types ranging from large municipal water/wastewater treatment facility upgrades projects to local system upgrades and feasibility studies. This role sites within our Global Business Area, Resilience.

Role accountabilities:

  • Lead model tasks including development of modelling methodologies and frameworks, review completed modelling and evaluation tasks and outcomes and provide interpretation of results.
  • Provide project management and supporting services including schedule management, budget management, management of technical staff and client management.
  • Provide technical oversight and QA/QC review of project deliverables.
  • Support asset management and utility business advisory services for water and wastewater utilities.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship for junior staff.
  • Participate in industry associations and internal communities of practice.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • University degree in Civil Engineering program or recognized equivalent
  • Eligibility to obtain P.Eng. license in Ontario
  • 6 years of relevant experience in water and wastewater modelling and assessment and in project management

The ideal candidate will have experience using a range of hydraulic models including InfoWater. Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and the use of GIS, Python and Power BI for custom dashboards, have strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills and have a strong work ethic and ability to multi-task, prioritize, and take direction.

The salary range for this position is $78,000-117,000. The base salary represents Arcadis' hiring range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as location, skills, experience, and qualification for the role.
