Job description

Citizens Memorial Hospital (CMH) is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Sports Medicine Physician to join the CMH Orthopedic & Sports Medicine Clinic in Bolivar, Missouri.

This role offers a defined, ongoing relationship with Southwest Baptist University alongside a procedurally advanced clinic practice — all within a community-based setting.

The Role

Based in the Kerry & Synda Douglas Medical Office Building, the clinic provides comprehensive non-surgical musculoskeletal care for athletes of all ages and competition levels — from youth and high school athletes to university competitors and active adults. Surgical cases are easily referred to the clinic’s Orthopedic Group, keeping this role focused on non-surgical sports medicine.

Procedural capabilities include:

  • Ultrasound-guided injections
  • Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy
  • Tenex minimally invasive tenotomy
  • COOLIEF radiofrequency treatment for pain management and recovery optimization

The physician works closely day-to-day with advanced practice providers, athletic trainers, physical therapists, and coaches — integrated into the athlete’s care team.

EMR: Meditech Expanse with Suki AI scribe support.

Southwest Baptist University Partnership

Southwest Baptist University is an NCAA Division II institution competing in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. The SBU relationship is a genuine differentiator for this role. Responsibilities include:

  • Sideline coverage at SBU home football games  shared with Sports Medicine Orthopedic Surgeon
  • Review and approval of athletic protocols for SBU and CMH’s internal athletic trainer team
  • Weekly clinic on SBU campus
  • All additional SBU care managed within the CMH Sports Medicine Clinic and CMH Orthopedic and Spine Center

Compensation & Benefits

Compensation is structured to retain engaged physicians:

  • Competitive salary with 18 month guarantee and RVU bonus
  • Sign-on bonus and relocation assistance
  • Malpractice coverage with tail
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • Retirement plan with CMH employer match
  • Annual CME allowance
  • PSLF eligible with in-house loan concierge support

Life in Bolivar
