A home-based notary signing agent can perform many tasks remotely, such as reviewing documents and scheduling appointments, but must be physically present to notarize signatures, which requires in-person verification. Some states allow remote online notarizations with certified platforms, expanding remote work options for notary signing agents. Certification and adherence to state laws are essential for remote notarizations.

Home based notary signing agents can earn varying income depending on the number of signings they complete, their experience, and the fees they charge per appointment.
