Position Overview

Immediate Pain Management Therapy is seeking a dedicated and motivated Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our team in providing specialized home care services in Fort Myers Beach, Florida. This full-time position offers a unique opportunity to work directly with patients in their homes, delivering tailored therapy and support to help them recover from injuries, surgeries, and various debilitating conditions.

Work Environment

This position is primarily onsite in patients' homes, allowing you to provide personalized care in a comfortable setting. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough evaluations for patients, assessing their physical limitations and determining the most effective treatment plan tailored to their needs.
  • Implement individualized treatment strategies that utilize a combination of exercises, therapeutic modalities, hands-on techniques, and assistive devices, aimed at alleviating pain and improving mobility.
  • Track and document patients' progress consistently, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans based on their response to therapy.
  • Educate patients and their families about self-care techniques, proper use of assistive devices, and effective home exercises to maintain and improve their health independently.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure a comprehensive and cohesive approach to each patient's care.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in physical therapy through continuous education and professional development activities, including workshops and seminars.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be patients recovering from orthopedic injuries, surgeries, and those managing chronic conditions. We serve a diverse patient population, including children and adults, tailoring our approaches to suit various ages, abilities, and diagnoses. You will play a key role in restoring functionality and enhancing the quality of life for your patients.

Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Current state licensure in Physical Therapy to practice in Florida.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with patients, families, and colleagues.
  • Competence with computer software and documentation systems relevant for tracking patient progress and maintaining records.
  • Ability to work independently, demonstrating a flexible approach to therapy tailored to each patient's circumstances.
Preferred Experience
  • Prior experience in home care settings is advantageous but not required.
  • An eagerness to learn and apply new techniques and methodologies in physical therapy.
  • Experience working with orthopedic patients is a plus.
