A Senior Rust Architect/Technical Lead who has successfully led Java and C/C++ modernization initiatives to Rust and can mentor internal teams while driving architecture and implementation.

  • Skillset: 1 Senior Rust Developer Scope of Work Vendor resource will serve as a technical lead and support key modernization initiatives across our Edge applications: Rust Technical Leadership - Java to Rust Migration Lead the design and execution of Java-to-Rust conversion for Edge applications, including: Secure Connect Gateway Policy Manager Data Center back-end services.

Job Summary
Client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Rust Developer to support strategic technology initiatives for a leading global technology client. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in systems programming, backend application development, cloud-native architectures, and performance optimization using Rust. The role involves designing and developing scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions supporting enterprise platforms, cloud infrastructure, edge computing, platform engineering, automation, and next-generation technology initiatives. The candidate will work closely with architects, product owners, DevOps teams, and global engineering teams in an Agile environment.
Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade applications using Rust.
  • Build highly scalable, low-latency, and resilient services for cloud and distributed environments. Should be strong technical hands-on coding skills.
  • Should be familiar with AI technologies, including Python and auto coding Tools Develop microservices, REST APIs, and event-driven applications.
  • Implement concurrent and asynchronous solutions using Rust best practices. Optimize application performance, memory efficiency, and system reliability.
  • Collaborate with architects and product teams to define technical solutions and system designs.
  • Integrate applications with cloud platforms, databases, messaging systems, and enterprise platforms.
  • Participate in code reviews, architecture reviews, and sprint planning activities.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis. Ensure security, observability, scalability, and compliance requirements are met. Mentor junior developers and contribute to engineering best practices.
