Additional information about the company can be found at WhirlpoolCorp.com.## **The team you will be a part of**The Supplier Quality team lead, manage and monitor the performance, quality and continuous improvement of our global supplier base.## **This role in summary**This role is critical in ensuring that suppliers meet our standards for quality, delivery, cost and innovation, and will play a key role in supporting new product introductions and strategic sourcing projects.## **Your responsibilities will include*** Leading supplier assessments and audits to evaluate their manufacturing processes, quality systems and capabilities* Working closely with suppliers to address quality issues, processing non conformances and deviation requests.,* Driving corrective and preventive actions and implementing robust development plans to enhance supplier performance.* Managing all aspects of Production part approval process* Developing receiving inspection plans## **Minimum requirements*** 5+ years of experience in a supplier or quality engineering role* Bachelors degree in Mechanical, electrical, quality or industrial engineering, Masters preferred* Knowledge of and experience with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 Quality management systems## **Preferred skills and experiences*** Strong proficiency with problem solving methods such as 8D, Fishbone diagram, 5 Why’s etc.,* Proven competency in core quality tools such as Control plans, FMEA, Capability studies, Gage R&R, Gage correlation etc.,* Working knowledge of Advanced product quality planning and Production part approval process* Ability to travel up to 15% of the time* Certified quality engineer or six sigma green belt## **Additional information****Whirlpool’s Ways of Working**Our goal is to provide an environment that helps you bring your best to Whirlpool every day.
