Job description

We are seeking crafty and creative volunteers to help support hospice patients and their families by creating handmade comfort items. These items—such as blankets, quilts, memory bears, beanies, scarves, and other arts and crafts—are gifted to patients and families as meaningful keepsakes and sources of comfort during a difficult time.

What You'll Do:

  • Sew, knit, crochet, or create handmade items (blankets, memory bears, beanies, scarves, or similar crafts)
  • Complete projects independently from home
  • Donate finished items to be distributed to hospice patients and families

Expectations:

  • Ability to work independently and manage your own time
  • Communicate completion of items for volunteer hour tracking
  • Quality, care, and compassion in each handmade item

Important Details:

  • No direct patient or family contact
  • Volunteer hours are based on the time you spend creating items
  • Projects can be completed from the comfort of your home
  • Flexible commitment—create at your own pace
