Richelieu Foods, Inc. is a leading national private label and contract packing food manufacturer focused on frozen pizza. We have two manufacturing facilities located in IL and WI. We provide products to many national retailers, wholesalers, distributors, club and mass stores, as well as industrial accounts including other food manufacturers.
Job Summary
We are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst who is intellectually curious and comfortable working in a culture focused on collaboration and transformation. The Senior Financial Analyst will report to the Senior Finance Manager with significant exposure to other functions and the Richelieu Leadership Team.
The Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for demand forecasting, commercial pricing analyses, and retail category insights. The ideal candidate will have full P&L forecasting experience and driver-based financial modeling skills. This position is highly collaborative, and the ideal candidate must be comfortable balancing the inputs from multiple stakeholders, including Sales, Procurement, Manufacturing, and Finance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Manage the commercial pricing process by coordinating across Sales, Procurement, Manufacturing, and other departments.
  • Develop pricing recommendations by assessing trade-offs between market share, volume growth, and profitability goals.
  • Establish baseline forecasting in a high SKU count private label portfolio.
  • Provide forecast inputs at both consensus and lower levels, as necessary, to ensure accuracy at all levels down to SKU/Customer/Location/Month.
  • Execute retail data reporting and perform analysis to understand market trends and competitor activity.
  • Assist in the development of strategic recommendations on pricing, promotion, assortment, and distribution.
  • Support strategic and tactical planning processes, including financial projections, competitive benchmarking, and sensitivity analyses.
  • Support industry research on the latest forecasting techniques, systems, and competitive environment.
  • Provide demand planning perspective to facilitate execution of new product launches, promotions, or service challenges.
  • Investigate the effectiveness of collaborative input using forecast value add analysis.
  • Track and report key performance indicators like Accuracy, Bias, and significant shipments to forecast variances.
  • Establish underlying assumptions in the demand plan to highlight risks and opportunities.
  • Participate in training and process improvement projects.

Required Qualifications
  • B.S degree in Finance, Accounting or related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in forecasting, preferably within the food industry or other CPG-related companies

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with retail syndicated databases (Nielsen or IRI).

Essential Skills and Abilities
  • Results-oriented, metrics-driven leader with expertise in demand forecasting and forecast modeling.
  • Advanced analytical and computer skills, preferably with experience in syndicated data and pricing/forecast software tools. Proficient in computer skills - Microsoft Office, Excel, ERP Software.
  • Strong grasp of CPG/Retail concepts and applications as well as excellent project management, quantitative, and modeling skills.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to deliver to deadlines with strong follow-up skills, problem resolution, and strategic thinking.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to articulate complex issues in an easy-to-understand way.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability with highly effective interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to resolve conflicting interests and obtain cooperation.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to respond to changing situations despite deadlines and pressure.

Working Conditions
Hybrid: This role is partially remote, and the associate is expected to perform assigned responsibilities from a combined home-based and office-based environment.
Pay and Benefits
The following information is provided in accordance with applicable state and local laws. Compensation is based on experience, geographic locations, and other legally permitted factors. The expected salary for this role is $75,000-$97,000.
