Home based comic books are comic books that are created, written, illustrated, or published by individuals working from their own homes rather than in a traditional office or studio setting. With advancements in digital tools, many comic creators can now produce professional-quality comics remotely. This allows for greater flexibility, lower overhead costs, and the ability to reach a global audience through online platforms. Home based comic book creators often self-publish their work digitally or in print, and may also collaborate with others online.

What are the typical challenges faced by home based comic book creators, and how can they be managed?

Home-based comic book creators often face challenges such as maintaining self-discipline, managing multiple creative and administrative tasks, and finding effective ways to collaborate remotely. Establishing a structured daily routine and setting clear deadlines can help maintain productivity. Utilizing digital collaboration tools and actively participating in online comic communities can foster connections, feedback, and opportunities for teamwork. Additionally, balancing creative pursuits with business aspects like marketing and client communication is crucial for long-term success.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a home based comic book creator, and why are they important?

Familiarity with graphic design software like Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or Clip Studio Paint is typically required, along with an understanding of digital distribution platforms. Creativity, self-motivation, and time management are vital soft skills for consistently producing original content and meeting deadlines independently. These abilities are crucial for building an audience, maintaining productivity, and succeeding in the competitive comic book industry.

The ideal candidate is a goal-oriented individual with a track record of success in B2B sales, who thrives in a sales environment with uncapped commissions.
You'll be responsible for selling our RBdigital platform and its full suite of digital content and services. You'll have a chance to capture new sales opportunities in a defined North American territory and focus on high-volume sales across multiple markets. Essential responsibilities
  • Meeting or exceeding established sales quotas and KPIs
  • Managing the complete sales cycle including forecasting, quoting, negotiating contracts, as well as reporting your results to your manager and sales leaders
  • Conducting "top-of-funnel" sales activities: including lead development and qualification, "social selling," as well as market and target research to optimize and execute sales plays or campaigns
  • Owning the full sales cycle, by progressing opportunities through to a closed-won sale
  • Prospecting via phone and email as part of daily routine, while adding that new prospects to the pipeline consistently
  • Conducting dynamic and well-informed online sales presentations and product demos for potential customers
  • Keeping abreast of competition, product features/differentiators, and creating targeted prospects based on learnings
  • Working with your manager to define and execute territory sales plans
  • Tracking all sales activities within Salesforce and effectively using high-volume tools/automation to improve productivity and results
  • Being a driven individual and collaborative team player-continuously striving to produce better results

Qualifications
  • 3+ years of B2B sales experience in proactive sales roles in enterprise software or commerce solutions via phone, preferably in related software/internet industries
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with strong ability to engage and persuade
  • Unparalleled salesmanship: able to dynamically craft customized solutions that meet the needs of customers while capturing maximum value
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred
  • Native-level fluency in written and spoken English

Additional Information
  • You are confident and enthusiastic when presenting information to decision-makers, always working to align needs with our solutions
  • You are highly motivated to achieve your earning potential
  • You are comfortable making both cold and warm calls with excellent phone presence
  • You are incredibly organized and have a proven ability to exceed performance goals
  • You thrive in a fast-paced, competitive team environment
