Pediatric Psychologist, Integrated Primary Care Job Description

Nemours Children’s Health - Delaware invites applicants for a full‑time integrated primary care psychologist position in our Dover and Milford Clinics. We have over 20 years of experience providing integrated behavioral health services as part of interprofessional teams in Nemours pediatric primary clinics throughout Delaware and are excited to expand our team.

The psychologist will join pediatric primary care teams comprised of physicians, medical residents, behavioral health providers, nurses, medical assistants, and care coordinators. Psychologists engage in consultation, assessment, and intervention for youth from birth to 21 and provide an early identification assessment service for autism within the medical home. The position also offers opportunities to train and teach future integrated primary care team members.

The role includes split time (2 days at each clinic) in Dover and Milford, a rural health professional shortage area. It offers program development, leadership, advocacy, community outreach, quality improvement, and research initiatives. Psychologists are members of the medical staff at Nemours Children’s Hospital, Delaware, and are supported in applying for academic appointments at Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University.

Qualifications

• Ph.D./Psy.D. from an APA‑accredited clinical, counseling, or school psychology program.
• Pre‑doctoral internship from an APA‑accredited site and at least one year of postdoctoral experience in a child‑focused setting.
• Licensed or license‑eligible in DE.
• Bilingual in English‑Spanish strongly encouraged.
