Your Role on the Team
Position Summary:
The incumbent operates cameras and performs multiple ophthalmic imaging procedures designed to assist physicians in documenting, tracking, and treating all forms of eye disease. Assists with specialized patient testing, including but not limited to; OCT Cirrus/Spectralis, IOL Measurements via applination/Lenstar/IOL Master, corneal topography with Pentacam/Wavescan/Atlas, retinal photos, fluorescein/ICG angiography, and slit lamp photography
What It Takes to be Successful
Required Qualifications:
  • Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
  • Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
  • Minimum 2 years photography experience or 2 years experience working as an Ophthalmic Technician
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Completion of two year training in photography or medical/biomedical photography or combination of equivalent education and experience
  • Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System

  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience working as a Ophthalmic Photographer
  • Previous experience as a Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA)
  • Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
  • Current COA certification

  • Basic Life Support
