Alt text writers describe what is shown in an image, ensuring that screen readers can convey this information to users who cannot see it. This work is essential for making websites and digital content compliant with accessibility standards, such as the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG). Home based alt text writers typically work for content agencies, educational institutions, or e-commerce sites, and need strong attention to detail and a good command of language.
