Your work environment at EXP

In this role, you will be a part of the Land Development team, based in Calgary, AB office and have the opportunity to work with a great team. Working closely with Project Engineers/Managers and Discipline Manager and participate and provide support to senior staff in the design of complex Land Development projects including large scale residential, industrial, and commercial developments in and around Calgary.

 
What a day at EXP has in store for you

  • Designing various municipal infrastructure components, including water mains, sanitary sewer systems, storm drainage, lot grading, roadways, and stormwater management facilities
  • Performing design-related calculations under the supervision of a professional engineer
  • Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D in projects from concept to completion
  • Work as part of team to deliver engineering drawings to be submitted to local approving authority 
  • Engineering record drawing preparation for land development projects

What your experience looks like

  • A strong desire to gain experience in the Land Development industry
  • Civil Engineering Degree or Technology Diploma
  • A strong working knowledge and minimum 3 years' experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook is an asset
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong detail orientation
  • Organized, works well under pressure and able to deal with situations with tact
  • A valid driver's license and vehicle is required
  • Demonstrated ability to perform individually or as a member of project teams
  • Comfortable working independently in both an office and field environment
  • Ability to multi-task, must enjoy meeting deadlines
