Job description

Company Overview

We are partnering with a well-established custom integration company based in Wellesley, MA. For more than two decades, this respected integrator has specialized in designing and installing luxury home technology systems including audio/video, lighting control, motorized shading, networking, security, and home automation.

Known for exceptional craftsmanship and long-term client relationships, every project is approached with the same philosophy: treat every home with respect, every installation with pride, and every customer like family.

Why Join Us?

This isn't just another installation job.

You'll join a close-knit team where everyone pitches in, supports one another, and takes pride in doing things the right way. Whether you're unloading equipment, cleaning up a jobsite, climbing ladders to install cameras, or learning new technologies, everyone works together.

The team has built a reputation for producing beautiful installations while leaving clients' homes cleaner than when they arrived.

If you're looking for a place where your attitude matters as much as your experience—and where you can build a long-term career—this is it.

Our Culture

  • Team-first mentality—no egos, just collaboration
  • Respect for clients, coworkers, and every home you enter
  • Learn from experienced technicians who enjoy mentoring
  • Long-tenured employees who genuinely enjoy working together
  • Fun and connection — birthdays, life events, and lots of laughter
  • Career growth opportunities for those willing to learn
  • Pride in craftsmanship and attention to detail

Job Overview

We're looking for an Installation Technician who enjoys working with their hands, solving problems, and learning new technology.

Whether you already have residential AV experience or come from construction, electrical, low-voltage, or another hands-on trade, we're interested in finding someone who is dependable, eager to learn, and ready to grow.

This role supports the installation of high-end residential technology systems including:

  • Home theaters
  • Whole-home audio
  • Video distribution
  • Lighting control
  • Motorized shades
  • Security cameras
  • Networking
  • Smart home automation

You'll work alongside experienced technicians who will teach you the company's installation standards and help you build a long-term career in custom integration.

What You'll Do

  • Assist with the installation of residential AV, networking, security, lighting, and automation systems
  • Pull cable, mount equipment, terminate wiring, and install hardware
  • Work on ladders and in ceilings, attics, and crawlspaces when needed
  • Help organize tools, materials, and job sites throughout each project
  • Keep client homes clean, organized, and protected during every installation
  • Unload trucks, stage equipment, break down boxes, and maintain an organized workspace
  • Learn installation best practices from senior technicians
  • Troubleshoot basic issues and continue building technical knowledge
  • Represent the company professionally inside clients' homes

What We're Looking For

We're far more interested in finding the right person than checking every experience box.

You might be a great fit if you:

  • Have experience in construction, electrical work, low-voltage, carpentry, or another hands-on trade
  • Enjoy working with tools and learning technology
  • Take pride in doing quality work
  • Are dependable, punctual, and willing to jump in wherever needed
  • Can take direction well and enjoy learning from experienced teammates
  • Notice what needs to be done without being asked
  • Enjoy working with people and being part of a team
  • Are comfortable climbing ladders and working at heights
  • Want to build a long-term career—not just find your next job

Residential AV experience is a plus, but it is not required for someone with the right attitude and willingness to learn.

The Type of Person Who Thrives Here

The best people on this team are:

  • Hungry to learn
  • Humble enough to accept coaching
  • Problem Solvers
  • Friendly and easy to work with
  • Self-starters who don't wait to be told what needs to happen
  • Respectful of clients' homes and property
  • Willing to help wherever the team needs them

If you naturally carry boxes before someone asks, clean up your workspace without being reminded, and enjoy seeing a project come together, you'll fit right in.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
  • Comfortable working on ladders and at heights
  • Ability to bend, kneel, crawl, and work in unfinished spaces when necessary
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record preferred

Compensation

  • $22–$32/hour based on experience
  • Higher compensation available for experienced residential AV professionals
  • Regular overtime opportunities

Benefits

  • Health Insurance
  • Dental Insurance
  • Vision Insurance
  • Paid Time Off
  • Company Holidays
  • Retirement plan with company match
