Job Overview

We are seeking an AV Integration Technician II or III to support the installation, troubleshooting, and commissioning of residential technology systems. This role is ideal for someone who can work independently in the field, communicate professionally with clients, and execute installation tasks with minimal supervision.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with custom integration technologies and understand that success in this industry requires both technical expertise and physical execution. We're looking for someone who can confidently install equipment, troubleshoot systems, and contribute to project completion while maintaining high standards of quality and professionalism.

Responsibilities

System Installation & Integration

  • Install and configure residential AV, automation, networking, security, and control systems.
  • Rack, wire, terminate, label, and test equipment according to company standards.
  • Assist with TV installations, speaker installations, surveillance systems, and structured wiring projects.

Independent Field Execution

  • Work from project scopes, task lists, and system documentation with minimal oversight.
  • Troubleshoot system issues and resolve problems efficiently in the field.
  • Complete assigned work while maintaining project schedules and quality standards.

Networking & Technical Support

  • Configure and troubleshoot residential network infrastructure.
  • Support connected technologies including automation systems, surveillance platforms, and distributed AV systems.
  • Collaborate with senior team members on system commissioning and programming activities.

Client Interaction

  • Communicate professionally with homeowners, builders, and project stakeholders.
  • Represent the company with a customer-first mindset while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Team Collaboration

  • Work closely with leadership and fellow technicians to ensure successful project completion.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience as an AV Integration Technician, Low Voltage Technician, Smart Home Technician, or related role.
  • Ability to work independently on installation tasks and troubleshooting assignments.
  • Experience with residential networking fundamentals.
  • Strong understanding of structured wiring, equipment installation, and jobsite best practices.
  • Professional communication skills and client-facing confidence.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with platforms such as Control4, Savant, Lutron, Sonos, Alarm.com, or similar custom integration technologies.
  • Experience with surveillance systems, access control, and home automation systems.
  • Programming experience with residential control systems.
  • Previous experience in luxury residential construction environments.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 75 pounds.
  • Ability to climb ladders and work in attics, crawlspaces, and active construction environments.
  • Frequent standing, bending, reaching, and working with tools and equipment throughout the day.
