Job description

Position Summary:

Home Appliances Technical Trainer is responsible for developing and delivering technical training programs for service technicians, authorized service centers, call center teams, and internal staff. The role ensures that personnel have the knowledge and skills required to diagnose, repair, install, and maintain home appliances safely and effectively. The engineer serves as a technical subject matter expert and supports product quality improvement through field feedback and technical analysis.

Key Responsibilities:


Technical Training Development

  • Develop technical training materials, including training manuals, service guides, bulletins and videos.
  • Update training programs for new products and technologies.
  • Create troubleshooting and repair procedures.

Conduct Training Sessions

  • Deliver classroom, virtual, and hands-on technical training to field service technicians, Authorized Service Centers (ASC), service partners and internal support teams.

Technical Support

  • Provide advanced technical assistance to service teams.
  • Assist in resolving escalated repair cases.
  • Support troubleshooting of complex appliance failures.

Product Knowledge Management

  • Maintain technical expertise across product categories, including refrigerators, cooking products, dishwashers, air conditioners.
  • Study new product designs and technologies before launch.

Performance Evaluation

  • Assess trainee knowledge through tests and practical evaluations.
  • Monitor training effectiveness and technician performance.
  • Recommend additional training where needed.

Quality & Field Feedback

  • Collect service and repair feedback from the field.
  • Identify recurring product issues.
  • Work with Engineering, Quality, and R&D teams to improve product reliability.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain training records and certification data.
  • Prepare training reports and performance metrics.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Appliance Technology, or a related field of study
  • 3–5+ years of experience in home appliance service, technical support or technical training
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, refrigeration systems, mechanical components, electronic controls and PCB diagnostics
  • Ability to read wiring diagrams, technical drawings and service manuals
  • Familiarity with testing equipment and diagnostic tools.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Project and time management skills.
  • Willingness to travel for training and field support.
