Job description

Job Title: Sales Manager
Property: Holiday Inn - Titusville
Department: Sales & Marketing
Reports To: General Manager / Area Director of Sales (as applicable)
FLSA Status: Exempt / Full-Time
Position Summary
The Sales Manager is responsible for generating new business and maintaining existing accounts to maximize hotel revenue, with a focus on corporate, group, leisure, and local market segments. This role partners closely with the General Manager and operations team to drive occupancy, ADR, and overall market penetration for the Holiday Inn Titusville.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
  • Proactively solicit and secure new business through outside sales calls, site inspections, networking events, and community involvement
  • Manage and grow a portfolio of assigned accounts while developing new local and regional opportunities
  • Identify and pursue group, corporate, government, SMERF, and leisure segments as applicable to the market
  • Conduct hotel tours and client presentations to promote the property and brand

Account Management & Relationships
  • Maintain strong relationships with existing clients to encourage repeat business
  • Negotiate rates and contracts within established guidelines
  • Ensure accurate and timely follow-up on all sales leads and inquiries

Revenue & Strategy
  • Collaborate with the General Manager, Revenue Management, and Operations teams to achieve revenue goals
  • Assist in developing and executing the annual sales and marketing plan
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and demand generators

Reporting & Administration
  • Maintain accurate records in the property's CRM and sales systems
  • Prepare weekly sales activity reports, forecasts, and pipeline updates
  • Participate in sales meetings, brand calls, and training sessions

Brand & Service Standards
  • Represent the Holiday Inn brand professionally at all times
  • Ensure all sales activities align with brand standards and company policies
  • Support hotel initiatives related to guest satisfaction and community engagement
Qualifications
Required
  • Minimum 2 years of hotel sales experience (full-service or select-service preferred)
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Proficiency with hotel sales systems, CRM tools, and Microsoft Office

Preferred
  • Prior experience with IHG brands
  • Local market knowledge of Titusville and surrounding areas
  • Experience selling corporate, group, or government business
Physical & Work Requirements
  • Ability to conduct outside sales calls and attend networking events
  • Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends as business needs require
