JOB TITLE: Bakery Delivery Driver

REPORTS TO: Director of Logistics

HOURS/STATUS: Full Time / Non-Exempt

PAY RANGE:$19.50 per hour to start, higher wages based on experience

Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Bakery Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be customer-focused, organized, and capable of contributing to a fast-paced environment. Special Touch Bakery is a food manufacturer and distributor. This position entails delivering and merchandising fresh bread in grocery stores. We have box trucks and bread vans that do not require a CDL. We deliver Monday through Friday with routes in Rochester, Syracuse and Buffalo. If you are a full-time driver, you may have 40+ hours per week in 4 days! Days start early, 4am – 6am and finish as late as 5pm.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Delivers and stocks fresh bread in grocery stores and functions as our customer service representative in the stores
  • Delivers bakery products to designated locations, ensuring timeliness and care during transit
  • Accommodates expanded delivery hours during peak holiday seasons as required
  • Maintains professional and respectful interaction with all customers and clients
  • Demonstrates sensitivity to and respect for individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds and practices
  • Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Previous delivery experience preferred, experience working in grocery stores is a plus
  • Ability to lift, pull and push up to 50 lbs. regularly
  • Ability to kneel is required when merchandising the breads on the store shelf
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Punctual, reliable, and have a strong work ethic
  • Work Environment
  • Regular driving in varied weather conditions
  • Occasional extended hours during peak periods (e.g., holidays)
