About the Position:

The Sr. Property Accountant is responsible for the daily accounting functions for managed real estate assets. The position will oversee period-end closings and ancillary accounting related functions for the property management department.

The qualified applicant shall demonstrate the following:

Responsibilities:

·         Review all financial reports for managed assets and implement accruals if necessary

·         Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements and variance reports as required

·         Interact closely with property management team as necessary

·         Work with Controller to oversee property management accounting functions

·         Prepare monthly bank reconciliations for identified accounts

·         Prepare tenant billing charges, statements and cash receipts

·         Tenant AR reconciliations and collection

·         Review and setup tenant monthly recurring charges, including adjustments or reimbursements

·         Set up new properties, owners, tenants and vendors.

·         Assist with upload, review and posting payable batches to deliver to owner semi-weekly

·         Work with PM team for budget establishment, reforecast and CAM reconciliations in Yardi including CAM pool setup

·         Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

·         Good attitude a must and will demonstrate the following characteristics:  hard-working, integrity, honesty, trustworthiness, respectfulness, and a team player;

·         Minimum 5 to 10 years accounting experience with an emphasis in property management/real estate;

·         Detail oriented with the ability to establish and meet deadlines;

·         Accountability to our team;

  • Must be highly organized with good decision-making skills
  • Strong Yardi Voyager experience or equivalent required (Admin experience, payscan and tenant/commercial café a plus)
  • Yardi CAM reconciliation and CAM Pool setup highly desired
