Job description

The Invensys Foxboro Branch of the Hockomock Area YMCA is hiring Youth Sports Instructors to deliver sports-related programs in an enthusiastic & effective manner to participants with all ability levels, including teaching sports classes and coaching sports leagues. This position supports all participants as they continue to learn the aspects of teamwork and sportsmanship while building confidence and improving skills and knowledge of particular programming.

Essential Functions

  • Delivers curriculum in a positive and fun manner
  • Joins and demonstrates sports curriculum and activities
  • Sets up and breaks down program areas before and after classes
  • Communicates clearly with families and children
  • Builds positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues
  • Knowledge of programming and rules, as needed for officiating purposes
  • Communicate instructions and rules in an energetic and clear manner
  • Oversee the safety of all children during programs
  • Reinforces teamwork, sportsmanship, and skill building
