The Hurley Family Branch of the Hockomock Area YMCA is seeking enthusiastic and knowledgeable Personal Trainers to engage with members in our Wellness Center and support them on their fitness journeys. In this role, you will proactively connect with members, educate clients on proper equipment use and exercise techniques, and develop personalized one-on-one, partner, or group workout programs tailored to their needs and goals. Personal Trainers are also responsible for ensuring a safe and motivating environment while upholding YMCA policies and promoting overall wellness.

Essential Functions

  • Engage with members in the Wellness Center, fostering connections and creating a welcoming, supportive environment.
  • Serve as a positive role model, staying current with industry trends and demonstrating a genuine dedication to health and wellness.
  • Respect each member's individual goals and needs while adhering to YMCA policies and procedures.
  • Help maintain equipment and ensure a clean, organized workout space.
  • Support YMCA initiatives, including Reach Out for Youth (ROFY), through member engagement and participation in events.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, attend required meetings and training, and maintain professional boundaries.
  • Ensure sessions are properly recorded and paid for, adhere to payroll procedures, and responsibly manage shift coverage.
