Job description

If you are a hard-working, self-motivated, and team-oriented individual, like working with your hands and are looking for a challenging and rewarding career experience Hollingshead Mixer Company invites you to submit your resume for a position in our warehouse as a Parts Puller, or in Shipping and Receiving.
Duties & Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Maintains clean, orderly, and safe work areas at all times.
  • Adheres to all company policies and procedures paying special attention to health and safety procedures.
  • When working with the shipping department, follows daily manufacturing sales orders giving special attention to various materials.
  • Completes appropriate paperwork for deliveries and shipments daily.
  • Prepares Bills of Ladings for truck shipments and UPS documentation for parcel shipments.
  • Pulls products from inventory and packages them for shipment and/or the production departments, recording information in an accurate and timely manner according to established policies.
  • Prepares shipments to include boxing materials, labeling with appropriate shipping information, and completing appropriate paperwork.
  • Loads and unloads trucks as required by operating fork trucks pallet jacks, lifting and carrying merchandise and stocking in appropriate areas.
  • Verifies quantities of deliveries by comparing merchandise to packing slips.
  • Visually inspects deliveries for damage and notifies management of discrepancies.
  • Maneuvers heavy materials with the use of forklift as required both inside and outside of the plant.
  • Prepares bill of ladings for outgoing shipments.
  • Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with the appropriate department to rectify damages and shortages.
  • Responsible for pulling parts and delivering them to the designated departments daily.
  • Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.Duties and responsibilities may change at any time with or without notice.

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Previous experience working in a warehouse preferred, but we are willing to train the right person.
  • Manually lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Capable of standing/walking more than 80% of work time.
