General Description:

The Analyst - HK Deal Flow will work under the Director of Business Development - HK Deal Flow. The Analyst will have firsthand exposure to how institutional deal flow is generated, evaluated, and matched - across private equity funds, family offices, independent sponsors, strategics, and intermediaries. This is a high-visibility, high-accountability seat on a senior team. Additionally, this candidate will operate as the team's data-intelligence specialist, owning the infrastructure that enables senior professionals to source, track, and close opportunities at scale. Key Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions:

  • Identify and source investment opportunities in key focus industries for the firm's proprietary HK Deal Flow program.
  • Leverage the HKDF/CRO database, powered by DealCloud to identify qualified buyers, lenders, and other investors for deals sourced.
  • Facilitate and manage communication with investors, external deal intermediaries, and strategic partners.
  • Track and manage the full lifecycle of deals through the HK Deal Flow program, owning task management and workflow execution to ensure deals are shared, actions are completed, progress is monitored, and timely feedback is delivered to intermediaries.
  • Maintain the HK Deal Flow database (e.g., entry of new deals, contacts, maintain data hygiene).
  • Maintain HK Deal Flow spreadsheets and attorney communication.
  • Perform research assignments to support the growth and expansion of the HK Deal Flow program (e.g., basic market, industry, prospect or deal intermediary research).
  • Leverage DealCloud to develop dashboards, reports, and insights to track KPIs and pipeline metrics.
  • Collaborate with leadership to create and present HK Deal Flow performance reports.
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to resolve any technical issues and recommend database improvements as needed.
  • Special projects and duties as assigned.

Required Skills:

  • Comfortable in a fast past environment focused on regular targeted outreach, to identify and secure valuable opportunities that align with our strategic objectives.
  • Ability to identify potential leads through market research, developing outreach plans, and successfully converting prospects to matched opportunities.
  • Strong data management skills, including research and navigation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Strong analytical, organizational and project management skills.
  • High attention to detail and a process-driven mindset.
  • Strong client service skills.
  • Perform well under pressure in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Ability to work independently as well as with a team.
  • Strong intellectual curiosity and willingness to take ownership of key projects.
  • Ability to adapt and apply new technologies and workflows.
  • Ability to handle sensitive data with confidentiality and integrity.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), or Microsoft 365.

Required Qualifications & Education:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 3+ years of corporate business development, investment banking or deal advisory experience.
  • Strong proficiency with Intapp DealCloud (experience customizing workflows, dashboards, and reports is a plus).

Preferred Qualifications & Education:

  • Exposure to investment banking, family offices, private equity, venture capital, lender relationship management or corporate development.
  • Experience with data enrichment tools (e.g., PitchBook, Capital IQ).

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
  • Moderate or advanced keyboard usage
