We are looking for a Commercial Insurance Broker (Client Service Manager) in our Commercial team in our Montreal office!

As a Commercial Insurance Broker (Client Service Manager), you will be responsible to assist the Client Executive in managing clients. You will establish and maintain excellent relationships with a focus on maximizing client loyalty.

Your day as a Client Service Manager

  • Manage a book of business proactively by reviewing the client’s exposure, loss history, and proposing appropriate coverage and/or solutions.
  • Ensure maximum retention of book by providing exceptional client service by regularly contacting existing clients to ensure quality service is delivered and needs are met.
  • Identify needs of prospective clients through research and involvement with relevant resources. Utilize division and corporate resources when possible.
  • Issue new policies, renewals, and endorsements efficiently.
  • Review policy wordings and other documentation for accuracy and completeness.
  • Participate in industry functions and targeted public relations activities.
  • Oversee the preparation of underwriting submissions and maintain appropriate documentation for various accounts and/or correspondence.
  • Respond to telephone calls and written inquiries from clients and underwriters in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain expiry lists, records, and policy files to ensure that they are organized and up to date.
  • Request and follow up with insurers for outstanding information, endorsements or policy documentation.
  • Create abeyances and follow up for outstanding items from underwriters, marketers and clients.
  • Establish appropriate procedures for claims administration and loss prevention activity.
  • Monitor and follow up on outstanding client receivables in collaboration with the Finance department to resolve discrepancies and related issues.
  • Perform other miscellaneous duties and special projects as required.

Our Ideal Candidate

  • At least 10 years of insurance brokerage experience.
  • University degree, preferably in business or finance.
  • AMF licensed.
  • Ability to work well independently, as part of a team, and with others throughout the organization.
  • Good project management and presentation skills.
  • Customer-focused and service-oriented.
  • Bilingual with strong verbal and written communication skills in French and in English as the candidate will be required to interact in English with stakeholders (colleagues and clients) outside Quebec.
  • Good knowledge of the MS Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, and Word).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills.
