Job Title: Machine Operator
Department: Manufacturing
Employment Type: Full-Time, Non-Exempt
Location: Facility Manufacturing Machines
Shift Availability: All Shifts Available

Job Summary

The Machine Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of assigned manufacturing equipment in accordance with established operating procedures, production requirements, quality standards, and safety guidelines.

This role plays an important part in maintaining product quality, workplace safety, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate assigned machinery in accordance with standard operating procedures and safety requirements
  • Monitor machine performance to identify malfunctions and ensure products meet quality specifications
  • Examine, inspect, and measure raw materials and finished products to verify conformance to specifications
  • Read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and machine maintenance procedures
  • Utilize basic math and computer skills to support production and operational tasks
  • Follow written, verbal, and diagram-based instructions accurately
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned based on business needs
Qualifications & Experience

Required Education:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent

Preferred Experience:
Minimum of three (3) months of machine operator experience in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred

  • Ability to work safely in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Work Environment

This position operates in a manufacturing environment and may involve:

  • Working around moving mechanical equipment
  • Exposure to vibration, loud noise, airborne particles, fumes, and varying environmental conditions
  • Use of warehouse and production tools/equipment such as hand trucks, box cutters, and tape dispensers
  • Working with hazardous materials requiring appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and adherence to established safety procedures
Physical Requirements

Candidates must be able to:

  • Stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and occasionally climb or balance
  • Frequently use hands and arms to handle materials and operate equipment
  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Maintain visual acuity including close, distance, peripheral, color, and depth perception
  • Wear all required PPE while working in production areas
  • Successfully complete a post-offer physical examination, where permitted by law and consistent with business necessity
  • Successfully complete a Pulmonary Function Test (PFT) for respirator use, where required for job-related safety compliance and consistent with applicable laws
    This position operates in a manufacturing environment and may involve:
